If you are looking for cheaper cellular phones that you want to purchase using your credit card, then there's this store along West Avenue in Quezon City that you should visit. The store is named Quality Store but people online would usually refer to it as CMK Cellphones or simply CMK. They sell legit cellular phones with warranties. Purchasing on credit is as easy as buying from the mall with the option of staggered payments of 3, 6 or 12 months with very minimal interest.

Not only do they sell cellular phones, they also sell other techie products like the famous Apple products namely iPod Shuffle, iPod Touch, and the iPad 2. Cameras and laptops are also sold from manufacturers Canon, Panasonic, Sony, Acer, Lenovo and Asus. Just this past July I bought my brother's iPod Touch 4G 8GB for only 1,756 pesos per month payable for 6 months. That 's only 10,536 pesos, which is still greatly cheaper that the mall prices.

Nicholas Sparks in Manila this October!

If you are a fan of the novels "The Notebook", "A Walk to Remember", "Message in a Bottle", "Dear John" and "The Last Song", then you may not want to miss out this opportunity to see Nicholas Sparks in Manila this coming October. He said from an article that he'll be signing so don't forget to bring in your fave Sparks' books. Reportedly, he'll be in the country from October 27 to 28. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten a schedule of his events. I'm quite excited about his book signing event; i might bring copies of his novel and have them inked with his signature (fan-mode).

AXN Runs Philippines 2011 Race Results

AXN Runs Philippines 2011 has culminated yesterday at the Ortigas Center, Pasig City. This was the first ever attempt to hold a race from Emerald Avenue to C5 Road with run lengths from 3 km to 21 km. I was one of the 10-km runners and I'd say the route was a bit challenging given the varying slopes of the road and the traversal over the C5-Ortigas Avenue flyover (whoah!). The race was pretty much organized despite the apparent limited space along Emerald Avenue where all the booths were installed.

At a Glance: Samsung Galaxy Note

Samsung has announced yet another addition to its line of Android smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy Note. It has maintained its low profile from the day it was announced together with Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 and Wave 3 at IFA in Berlin, Germany.

Samsung Galaxy Note, by the plain looks of it, seems to be an over-sized Samsung Galaxy S II with its 5.3-inch HD Super AMOLED screen. The specifications are quite similar to the Galaxy S II, with just the bigger screen and the addition of a stylus. Yes, you read it right, a stylus. I guess the presence of the stylus completes the name of this product by it acting as a"pen" for the "note pad" - the Galaxy Note.

From what Samsung has promoted about the Galaxy Note, it says:

Samsung Galaxy Note was just announced last September 1, 2011 and I think it will be released to the commercial market after 6 months from now. To what specific market or region, that I don't know but my wild guess is that it will be released first in Europe. As for the Philippines, I have no idea. :-|

Big Bang Theory Season 5

On the same week when Glee Season 3 premieres is Big Bang Theory Season 5's primer as well! So my TV's quite booked for next week's new episodes of the only two TV series I look forward watching (and downloading). One good news is that I've heard the premiere is a double episode. I simply can't wait what happens to Penny and Leonard after his discovery of her and Raj's bed affair.

MSI-ECS Phil Warehouse Sale 2011

For those of you who have been meaning to buy their own desktops or laptops but couldn't afford to get the high-end ones because of towering price tags, this month is your lucky month. On September 13 - 16, 2011, MSI-ECS Philippines is bringing their yearly warehouse sale. Gadgets from different brands such as Acer, Samsung, Hewlett-Packard (HP), Apple, Lenovo, Dell, Sony, Ozaki and Belkin will be up for grabs with discounts up to 80% off on selected items.

The first and last time I went to MSI-ECS's warehouse sale was the last one they had in 2009 (yes, they did not have it last year). I tell you, the items for sale were worth the bucks given the substantial discounts provided. My friend bought his Acer Aspire 4730z laptop for a nifty 27,000 pesos if I can recall it right (that was two years ago, so don't compare the price to the price in the market now).

Note that not all products are brand new and sealed from the box so make sure you know the condition of the item you want to purchase. Also, some products will only have one item available (so you could imagine if there are five of you eying for it). Here are some tips for you if you plan to go to the warehouse sale:

• Review the product list and choose the ones you want before going to the sale. Click the link I've provided above and do this now.
• Be there on the first day and at least an hour before the store opening. In 2009, people were accommodated in batches because not all could fit inside the store. Of course, it's a first-come first-served basis so you better come first before somebody gets ahead of you.
• Be determined on the items you want to buy while you're inside the store. Seconds thoughts are not good because you might end up consuming so much time consolidating your thoughts while other people are purchasing the options you have.
• Have your money or credit cards available. This is a no-brainer. :)
